17 Weeks Down. 25 To Go.

For those of you who don’t know, Caleb is going to be a big brother around the first of March. He doesn’t know about it yet, but we plan on telling him in about a month. As a typical male he isn’t very observant. He seems oblivious to my growing belly and new bigger clothes.
I had my 17 week check up this morning, and the baby is doing great. I started feeling the baby move this past weekend. I had forgotten how amazing it is to feel a little person moving around in you.
In just 4 weeks from today, we will find out if we are having a boy or girl. I don’t have a preference, but I sure am ready to find out what it is.
I remembered pregnancy as being more fun than it really is. I survived the nausea of the first trimester on Lay’s potato chips, French onion dip, and nectarines. I am feeling much better these days, but still have the typical pregnant woman aches and pains. My bladder is the size of a small grape. My lower back aches while I’m trying to sleep at night, and the baby is laying on my sciatic nerve which sends shooting pains down my back, behind, and leg while I am walking.
All of the aches and pains are worth it though. We are so thrilled to have another baby on the way!
We’ll keep you posted when we find out if we are having a boy or girl.
