Caleb at Costco
By Tiffany on 29 October 2004 the wee hoursCategory: The Boys We went to one of Caleb's favorite places today...Costco. He loves it there. We only needed one item (a box of diapers), but we stayed there for over an hour.
First, as soon as you walk in there are about 25 T.V.sets lined up. He loves to look at all the electronics while saying "Hot Hot".
Next, we take on the 3 long toy aisles. He hugged on an over-sized dog, played with a train set, a firetruck, tractor, and bulldozer. We listened to Elmo sing "It's fun to do the E-L-M-O" over and over. Caleb loves it when I start all of them so there are 8 Elmo's singing at the same time. He is content to sit in the buggy while we play with all the toys. Then even had a child size drum set and piano to play with.
Finally, we moved to Caleb's favorite part of Costco...FREE FOOD. He gets this from Andy who likes to eat lunch at Costco on all of the free samples. Caleb had: cracker with cranberry cream cheese, piece of Boca burger, parmasean cheese bread, granola bar, chocolate pudding, and a cup of apple juice (this was his first juice ever). The only thing they were serving that he didn't have was chili. He wanted some, but I thought that might be bad for diaper changes. He will eat anything they serve in there. Our last trip he ate a cup of steamed vegetables and soybeans (YUCK!)Next time I'm not even going to feed him lunch before we go. By the time we finally left Caleb had his first sugar high. I think the pudding and juice were too much for him. (Other than fruit and the occasional animal cookie he has never had sweets).
If it is raining and we can't go the park then we just go to Costco. It is just as much fun for Caleb.
