"Fair Warning, " says wife, "Low Self-Esteem Ahead."

Warnings are a good thing. When the indicator light on my dashboard tells me I'm low on gas, that's a good warning to heed. When the tornado sirens go off in the middle of night, that's also a good warning to heed.
So when Tiffany tells me today that I should be aware that she will be suffering from low self-esteem for the next few days, that got my attention. Sure, she's has her moments like I suppose most of her kind does, moments where she is less than thrilled with some aspect of the way she looks. Yet, they don't happen that often. She's generally very content with the way she looks, and why shouldn't she be. She's simply gorgeous.
Yet no amount of good looks can thwart this impending derailment of self-esteem freight train? It's the Miss USA beauty pageant. I urge her to save the train and flip the channel. "I'd gladly watch 24 with you, babe." She'll have none of that though. She'd rather bring on the freight train. Women are so mysterious.
