First Trip to the Dentist
By Tiffany on 1 October 2004 the wee hoursCategory: The Boys Caleb had his first big trip to the dentist today for an annual check-up. We picked a pediatric dentist that we had heard great things about. The dentist was terrific. They had shelves filled with books , games, puppets, and game boys for the kids to play with. Caleb immediately grabbed a gameboy thinking it was a phone. That kept him occupied while I talked with the dentist.
Then it was time for the exam. I just knew it would turn ugly at this point, but I was wrong. Caleb grabbed the toothbrush and showed the dentist how he can brush all of his teeth by himself. (What you need to understand is that Caleb is obsessed with brushing his teeth. He wants to do it 4-5 times a day. He normally cries when we take the brush away from him). The dentist was impressed. Then Caleb let the dentist look at all of his teeth with a mirror in his mouth. No tears or screaming! We got a great report from the dentist. Caleb left with a new toothbrush and a prize. I was so proud of him!
