Injury Report

Caleb had a great weekend, and he has the bumps and bruises to prove it. Here is a list of his current injuries and a few notes on how it happened...

1. Two skinned knees and legs- Caleb was chasing squirrels and ducks at the park while Andy and I were feeding them. Caleb fell down and jumped right back on and kept going. It wasn't until several minutes later that we realized he was bleeding from both knees. Caleb never cried.

2. Huge sore on his thumb- His thumb got stuck in a piece of playground equipment. Lots of blood. He never cried until we tried to take him off the toy to go home.

3. Red, Swollen nose and purple busted lip- Caleb was having too much fun with a toy tractor in the church nursery yesterday. He jerked it up and hit himseld in the face with it. Lots of blood. They said he calmed right down and kept on playing.

People keep telling me that this is a normal part of raising a boy. It is amazing how tough he is. He falls down all the time now that he has started running, but he just jumps up and tries again. I feel like any second we are going to have to make a run to the emergency room. I had to stop at Wal-Mart over the weekend to get a first aid kit for the diaper bag. I'm sure we will need it tomorrow when we go back to the duck pond. I'll keep you posted.
