Thanksgiving Week

Category: Personal I can't believe it is already Thanksgiving Week. I have a few things to be thankful for this year that I didn't have last year: an incredible 4 month old son, a cute little 2 month old niece, graduation from seminary in a couple weeks (It can be done in less than 9 years, Chris), a ministry position at Lifetime Guarantee that I love, the Cowboys are atop their division, and I got this neat little toothbrush-like tool that makes flossing my teeth a breeze.

I have several things to be thankful for that I was also thankful for in previous years: an amazing bride (I still wonder how I ended up with her, and this week will be 5 years of marriage. Wow!), wonderful family (including in-laws), a refrigerator full of food, a warm home, dependable transportation, and most importantly, my Father who still showers his mercy on a daily basis when I am so prone to wandering and doubting.

Thanks, Father, for these and so many other unmentioned blessings. Please also encourage and comfort those who are experiencing the first Thanksgiving without someone they dearly love.
