The Next Paul Hamm

I signed Caleb up for The Little Gym since our music class had ended for the summer. After finishing our second class, I came home and told Andy that I thought Caleb was going to be the next Paul Hamm (the gold medalist in men's gymnastics this past year at the Olympics). Andy immediately gave me one of those looks like I've lost it and said ,"Tiffany, you are becoming one of those moms".
I guess he meant the kind of mom that puts pressure on their child to live out unfulfilled dreams of the parents. I am not doing that. I just meant that Caleb showed some real talent swinging on the bars, doing a handstand, walking the beam, and doing flips. I was impressed and proud. Several moms said, "Wow he is doing great for being so new at this".
I'm going to work hard at not becoming one of those moms, but it is hard since I could see the crowd cheering as the judges flashed up a perfect 10 as Caleb finished his dismount in class today.
