The Tale of Two Moms

I always knew mom's were special. I grew up with an amazing mom. But after watching my son's birth last July and seeing more closely all the work she does in the name of motherhood, it's not surprising that my appreciation level for all mothers was taken to a whole new glorious level. So I'm going to attempt to say thank you in a single paragraph to the two mom's in my life.
So Mom, I appreciate you and the sacrifices you made in order to be a stay-at-home mom. It's not fair to label only those mothers who work for a paycheck to be called "working moms." Now that I am a father, I see these things more clearly. I know you are not only a good mom, but a good wife too because dad never misses an opportunity to tell how much he thinks of you and loves you.
So Sweetie, I can't begin to describe how blessed Caleb is to have you as his mommy. I have seen the way you smile at him, I have heard the way you talk to him, and I have felt the joy you have for him. Thanks for being such an amazing mom. Letting you go away for a night by yourself hardly begins to tell you how much I appreciate and love you.
