Two Years Old

It is hard to believe but Caleb turned two at 4:22 this afternoon. We had such a great day! Sarah and I spent most of the day at NRH2O (a local waterpark) with Caleb. He loved it. Then he enjoyed a hotdog dinner (his favorite food) complete with ice cream. He also opened many gifts. Here is a quick rundown of his new stuff: bicycle, sand and water table, Elmo sprinkler, Magna Doodle, books, puzzles, sand toys, T-ball set, Tonka backhoe, and more books. He spent the afternoon in toy heaven. He is all curled up asleep in his bed right now, and I'm reminded that there is nothing more precious than peeking in on him as he sleeps.

Caleb seems to be getting smarter and smarter each day. He has mastered all of his colors. He learned to count to ten this past week, and he has learned most of his ABC's. We started potty training yesterday. His first day he was able to tee tee in the potty 5 times, and today he had 4 successful visits to the potty. We are so proud of him. He has also learned to say please and thank you. We are currently working on saying sir and ma'am after a yes or no answer. He can finish the sentences on any page of his books, and he is speaking in 5-6 word sentences. (At this rate he'll be balancing the checkbook and doing long division by 3 years old.)

Without a doubt, the past two years have been the best of our life. We can't wait to see what God has planned for Caleb's future.
