Wesley Bounces Back
By Andy on 31 August 2004 the wee hoursCategory: Family
Since Caleb came around, Wesley the dog has not held the same position in our family. He has been relegated to getting the leftovers of our life, but I think that's all changing.
When we got home Sunday from the water park, he had left diarrehea all over Caleb's room, even leaving a little muddy-looking blob right on the head of Caleb's little pink piggy. That was Monday and we were pretty ticked at him. We knew that somehow all of this was his fault. Well Monday afternoon things took a turn for a worse. I'll try to keep this as brief as possible. Wesley was struck by the vomit comet. Later we found blood leaking from his rear-end so we took him to the Animal ER. Turns out they gave us an estimate of $1000-$1600 to keep him overnight. That's what I thought too. I mean come on, I have a kid I need to send to college. So I brought him home after $200 worth of tests feeling scared like P.E.T.A. was going to track me down somehow.
We took him to our vet the first thing this morning, and as of now, he is making a full recovery, and we're treating him a lot nicer these days. I gave him a bath tonight (for the 3rd day in the row!)and Tiffany just finished giving him a luxurious blow drying. Personally I think Wesley faked all of this for attention.
