Why is Bush so Hated?

I for one am glad that the election is behind us. I'm not surprised Bush won, but it was closer than I thought it would be. What I still haven’t wrapped my arms around is why the hatred for Bush runs so deep.

Is it because he removed a cruel, vicious dictator from power freeing the Iraqi people from their terror?

Is it because he will not allow the UN to determine how to best keep America secure? Is it because he will stand for what he knows to be true even if it is unpopular?

Is it because his tax cuts have actually our economy back from the recession that began before he was in office and then nose dived after 9/11?

Is it because he believes that one mom and one dad (and not two moms or two dads–or even four dads or six moms, which is where this slippery slope would eventually take us) is the best scenario for raising emotionally healthy children?

Is it because he believes babies in the birth canal might actually be real human beings who deserve a chance at life? Is it because he cares enough to not sacrifice them on a hypothetical argument that the mom’s life might be in danger...even though a C-Section can be done and save both of them, and an “inconvenient child” (Is there ever a convenient child? Caleb sure isn’t convenient) can be adopted?

I’m proud to have George W. Bush as our president for four more years. If you're reading this and have a dissenting opinion, I'd love to hear from you.

I'm Andy Knight, and I approve this message.

  1. What did he do when he was told about the 9/11 attacks while he was reading to children in a kindergarten school? I’ll tell you, he waited and just sat there. He must of been asking himself, ‘Is this an accident?’ However when the 2nd plane hit he knew it was a terroist attack but still chose to sit there ignorantly. He did not attempt to address the people or support the situation by showing the American people that at a disasterous time he is not cowering away. The American people may have felt somewhat better if they knew their President was already making plans to help the dying people or a retalliaion attack. Is that the role of a good President?
