Crabby

Caleb is into pretending he is a crab fisherman. While watching Bear Grylls, he sometimes sees the commercial previews for the show The Deadliest Catch. We don’t let him watch the actual show because of the rough language, but he still has become fascinated with the life of a crabber.

Since I am into interface design, I thought it would be fun to draw some crab boat controls on the whiteboard in the basement…Caleb’s favorite place to play.

All the red dots on the map indicate where we have dropped our crab pods. Had I known this picture was going to be put on the web site, I think I would have made it a little fancier…and much neater. Oh well.

Caleb is making an important call on his computer mouse phone.

Of course we are wearing our coats because we are crabbing in the Bearing Sea. I have no explanation for Caleb’s shorts and my bare feet. We’re just really tough guys. Oh and the box of lasagna was the food we had to take with us. I mean, we’re out there for a month at a time.
