Memorial Day

We spent Memorial Day at Burger’s Lake today. It was a great day of fun, sun, water, and kabobs on the grill.
Unlike the four alarm fire that we built last year, this year we forgot our fire starter, so I asked a guy at a nearby table if he had some matches or a lighter, and he came over and helped me start our fire.
He said he was spending the day remembering two of his fellow soldier buddies, Ben and Tim. They were both killed in Iraq, and he wants to get over there as quickly as possible and serve his country like they did.
I thanked him for helping us, and he said, “Oh I love playing with fire.”
“I wasn’t talking about the fire,” I said.
