Taking Care of Mommy
By Tiffany on 22 February 2006 early morningCategory: The Boys
I have not been feeling well this week, so I planned to go to the doctor this morning. I was going to have to take Caleb with me, so Andy and I decided to prepare Caleb for going to my doctor’s appointment.
We built it up as he was taking mommy to the doctor because she is sick. We told him that he’d have to hold my hand while I got a shot, and he’d have to help the doctor take my blood pressure and temperature (Caleb is a pro at all of that since he got a doctor’s kit for Christmas). Caleb said yes that he could be the man and take care of mommy at the doctor.
Then Caleb got really serious and thought for a minute and said, “Caleb not want to drive mommy there.” Andy and I laughed so hard. We were proud that he wasn’t willing to break any laws!

Since he’s been helping me steer the car in the driveway every afternoon when I get home from work, he really believed that we might want him to actually drive you to the doctor.
