You Call That an Emergency

We need to get out the dictionary and look up the definition of the word “emergency” in our house.

Now that we live in a mulitple story house, we can’t hear Caleb if he calls for us at night if we are downstairs in the living room watching TV. We told him if there is an emergency like needing to potty he can get out of bed, open his door, and call for us. He had never once gotten out of bed before we had this little talk with him.

There has been a handful of times he has come out and called for us. Most had been legitimate emergences until tonight.

We heard the call for help and ran. He was standing in the hall and said, “I have an emergency. Why do I have to go to bed before the sun goes down?” Obviously he doesn’t understand daylight savings time.

Caleb and I (Tiffany) are off to Fort Worth in the morning to spend a week visiting with friends. We have missed them so much and can’t wait to be reunited. It should be lots of fun!
